Nigerians Kill It In The Brown Skin Girl Challenges

Beyonce’s new album ‘Spirit was pitched by the singer as an ode to the continent. Apart from the strong Nigerian input, one of the high points came in the form of Brown Skin Girl, which features Wizkid and Saint Jhn. The song mirrors a letter sent from mother to daughter seeking to build security on the complexion of her skin. It glorifies the beauty of dark skin.

As with all things on Al Gore’s internet, a challenge has developed out of this. The trend found  some popularity with Nigerians. In the context of the country’s diversity, the song is more than a song, it is a philosophy, a movement and a lifestyle.
