Omo Rapala by Niniola was the last single to come out of the Afrohouse pioneer’s camp in 2019. With it, she cleared all doubts of the soundness of her partnership with Sarz, the single’s producer, which, yet again, yielded an exotic Afrohouse bop.
To set the pace for a new year, Niniola reconfirms her identity as Omo Rapala in the colorful and comical video for the vibrant single. Not only does she revive Fuji veteran, Obesere, for a union of genres and generations, she also affirms her status with a nod from the legend who’s considered the original Omo Rapala.
The Adasa Cookey-directed video is branded as Niniola’s grand entrance into a new decade, and by all indications, it is as befitting as it is dramatic.
