In the past week, all of Nonso Amadi’s actions in the public eye have played at the release of his second visual offering, the video for What Makes You Sure, from sophomore solo EP, Free, and to true to his words, the video offers an exquisite balance to the EP.
Directed by Seyi Akinlade, the video is an overly dramatic take on the track’s lush but chilly narrative. It casts Nonso Amadi as a helpless lover ruled by his partner’s frantic actions that eventually throws their relationship into chaos.
By all indications, Nonso has touched on his performing skills as his delivery in the video – which is reminiscent of the video for Comfortable – is as classy as Akinlade’s nocturnal theme.
