Omawunmi Evokes Passion On Her Soulful LP “More”

Omawumi makes a comeback with her newest LP, More. Over the course of four albums and one EP, the artists has solidified her position as one of Nigeria’s most euphonious voices, skillfully conveying a variety of emotions with her limitless vocal talents. Her journey to fame began when she became the runner-up in the 2007 edition of the West African Idols competition, leading to her continued ascent in the Nigerian music industry, where she has left a lasting impression with her exceptional style and distinctive voice.

In her recent project, More, Omamuni taps into her trusted storytelling technique that’s worked so well for her in the past. The LP touches on many themes surrounding love, fear and spirituality.  Speaking on the track, she says “Music is everything…it is a form of communication that speaks on every part of life that has ears, it is very spiritual, it can be a teacher, sometimes even in the abstract, there is a language.”
