In the past couple of years, only Burna Boy’s Soke and Tekno’s Rara have hit the ball out of the park in terms of afropop tracks that touch on social issues. Orezi is an artist whose music has been particularly dance oriented with efforts like Just Like That, Shoki and Shuperu however, on his latest effort, Cooking Pot the Afro Pop act focuses on issues like alcoholism and domestic violence before giving a lesson in sex education.

The video which is directed by Adasa Cookey was shot in Lagos and sees Orezi recreate an iconic Fela image and bust out some of the legend’s dance moves while the Fela influences on the track are discernible from a distance.
