Petrol to sell at N145 a liter

The Federal Government has announced that petrol shall now sell at N145  a liter as the subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit also known as fuel was removed today.

This move shall allow the price mechanism to fully determine the price of petrol as according to a SIGNAL source, it is no longer sustainable due to the current economic standing of the country.

Back in 2012, attempts to remove the fuel subsidy by President Goodluck Jonathan led to massive protests and ultimately a reversal of the decision.

How shall Nigeria react this time?
