Pheelz has spent years in the industry, carving a niche for himself as a producer to reckon with. With a slew of hits under his belt, he’s finally ready to transcend to other dimensions where his other passions are hosted, and on his debut, Hear Me Out, he wants the solid fanbase his run as a producer has afforded him over the years, to witness this other side of him. Having previously teased us with One Life, he clears the path to the EP today with Wayward Girl, the project’s introductory track that’s the best of his strengths.
Despite its focus on hedonism, a common subject for Afropop artists, Wayward Girl, with his tropical undertones and prime snares, details everything from Pheelz’s life as a producer, a young Nigerian man, with an ear for mesmeric sounds to his knowledge on what drives the industry.
As a herald, Wayward Girl is perfect, it heightens the anticipation for the EP and proves Pheelz is coming into his own as a musician.
