The revival intent weighs heavily at the start of the Praiz’s just released concept EP, To The Moon, a sizzling six-track body of work complete with the silky harmonies signature to sexually gratifying music, pitch distortions ranging from outright falsettos and deep bass, and hedonistic narratives he feels will put his listeners in the right mood notwithstanding the chaotic state of the world.
Underpinning the spirit of the EP itself is Praiz’s deft grip on aural gratification which DJ Obi makes reference to on the introductory track titled Intro. His allusion doesn’t do enough to ready us for what follows in the next five tracks.
Praiz is an unashamed and as expressive as ever from start to finish, characteristically offloading the most sensual of lyrics on self starter, Feels which sets the tone for the coming tracks including standout, Wings, a syrupy take on sexy time that finds Praiz’s silky words gliding smoothly over a classic RnB instrumental before melding with M.I’s drowsy punchlines.
Praiz doesn’t hold back in creating and sharing come hither vibes which he spreads perfectly between the likes of Niyola and Ice Prince, who do Justice to his emotive run.
