Abuja’s creative scene continues to make an interesting case for itself. Tay, Efe Oraka and Lady Donli have placed the city on the map with alternative music in the recent future while the likes of Sute, Zilla and Psycho have delivered on the rap front. Collaborations are central to the scene with many of these acts tapping the talents of their peers. Over the past weekend, hip hop and trap artist, Psycho and Kuddi who doubles as a musician and filmmaker team up on a four track EP titled This Is What You Wanted.
The duo whose working relationship had previously led to efforts like feedback, juice and BANDO over the past year bring in South-London rap newcomer, Nehmy on the opening track of the EP ahead of three tracks which further reassert that they’ve got a good partnership going. Each track features deep trap percussions and bass heavy hip-hop drops as Kuddi and Psycho systematically work their way through both genres. This is truly what you wanted.
