The Apex Village rapper stays true to his alias The Fresh Prince of Nigerian Rap on the new record. Produced by undisputable hit maker Princeton, IC3 takes a look at the unrest that comes with being one of the hottest rappers out of the continent. Psycho YP, Zilla Oaks and BackRoad Gee’s magnetic and energetic bars hit so hard that you’ll find them to be irresistible.
With a powerful verse that features bars like “They want me to rest. I have never been the type of artist to be waiting on PRS” and “Talking about top 5 in the country, never been 5th or 4th or 3rd. Never been 2nd. But I gotta consider my brethren,” YP isn’t playing games and is taking his stance as the guy to go through for the title of ‘The hardest rapper in the country.’
With a recurring “They don’t want YP free” line, YP’s IC3 is an unapologetic shot at the folks that don’t want him to rest both in and out of the industry. Not only is IC3 a catchy tune, it is also an anthem for freedom and a record that’ll leave hip hop, rap, and Psycho YP fans excited.
IC3 precedes the release of Psycho’s YPSZN3 album which is due later this year.
