Afrorave star Rema has dropped a brand new remix of his hit song Calm Down featuring Selena Gomez.
Earlier this week, Selena and Rema both teased the incoming remix on social media with Selena putting out a clip that showed both artists hanging out together.
The Calm Down remix is coming a few weeks after a video of Selena meeting Rema at his Rave & Roses Tour went viral on social media. Selena also posted a black and white photo of her and Rema on her Instagram story, captioning it “coming soon.”

Calm Down, which is Rema’s second single from Rave & Roses – his first studio album, was first released in February as a prequel to the album released in March. On the remix, Selena complements Rema’s vibe perfectly, maintaining the same tempo as the original release. Both artists pull off an amazing symphony with Selena matching Rema as he delivers the catchy chorus to Calm Down.
The reception of the remix on social media has been generally positive, with fans applauding Rema for the collaboration.

Selena has also teased what appears to be the music video for the new Calm Down remix on the official page for her beauty brand, Rare Beauty. In the video, Selena is seen leaning against a grey Porsche, while Rema sits inside it as Calm Down plays. The official video is set to drop next week while a crisp lyric video accompanies the new release today, offering a first look into the set for the anticipated visuals.
Rema’s collaboration with former Disney star Selena Gomez is another step in the right direction considering the international impact this has on not just Rema, but the Nigerian music scene in general.
