In contrast to his early days in the industry, Reminisce has now assumed a more lukewarm role and a cultured presence in social spaces and sparse contributions in terms of releases. His last release, Oja was not exactly a hit which is probably why he comes back with reinforcement on his comeback single, Jensimi which takes root in a partnership with Niniola we never knew we needed till now.
As expected, Jensimi is an upbeat drum driven cut articulated in a mix of English and Yoruba slangs that Reminsce plays with and Niniola crystallizes into alluring tunes.
A head nod to Niniola’s Afro-house genre and typical Afrobeat, Jensimi Is Reminisce’s shot at a celebrated comeback and a reminder of the strength of his whimsical but talented persona.
