Rotimi Re-Enacts Creation Story In Video For ‘Love Somebody’

In the space of two years, Rotimi has been able to prove he possesses a pertinent understanding of romance and the art of relaying it by constantly releasing love-themed tracks that not only speaks to this understanding but are immersive enough to throw his listeners in the same state that influences most of these tracks. Just months after sharing the video for The Beauty Of Becoming standout, In My Bed, he circles back this month, wielding Cupid’s bow and arrow on Love Somebody another Afropop, RnB hybrid nestled in a union of Rotimi’s roots.

The Bizness produced single is a personal articulation that finds Rotimi penning down real-life feelings making the single even more mesmeric considering he performs from his depth. The personal nature of Love Somebody becomes reality in the accompanying video in which he takes center stage with his actual partner, Vanessa Mdee.

With directorial assistance from June Bae whose perception of Rotimi’s love story is a natural one, Rotimi re-enacts the creation story, drawing out the essence of love by posing as Adam and his muse, Eve.
