Sam & Cas Are Flirty And Romantic On New Single, “Ocean”

Popular Nigerian-British actresses and online personalities Samantha and Casilda Okanlawon also known as Sam and Cas or Okan Twins have released their debut single, Ocean, which marks their entrance into the Nigerian music industry. Looking to storm the ever bubbling Nigeria music scene with their natural gifted musical aura, already likened to the legendary musical duo and African iconic twins P-square, Sam and Cas are the definition of a premium package as not only are they talented as songwriters but as well acclimated content creators in Nigeria. 

Releasing their first ever single titled Ocean, which is a metaphoric song about a lady pursuing her love interest, Sam and Cas bespeak a level of versatility and range that is meritorious. One would ask the question: should a lady be the one doing the chasing? Well, it is crazy because in this day and age it is typical for a man to do the chasing; but in this case it is vice versa because there’s a twist that comes with twins. That’s a word play but hear me out these divas have used creative measures in play here as the song is titled Ocean which is known for its calm but albeit vibrant nature.

Furthering their flirty and romantic theme on Ocean, Sam and Cas continuously sing, “I can feel this tension, on my body, on your body, I can feel this pressure.” They’re not afraid to be the ones going for who they’re interested in. The duo bring a fresh tune to an already dynamic Afro-fusion sound, drawing inspiration from those who have come before them in the music industry as they gear up to pave their own way. Ocean is a thrilling single with relatable and undeniably romantic lyrics. Ocean was produced by King David Adebayo (Kdream) and mixed & mastered by the Grammy-award-winning music engineer, Victor Kpoudosu (Vtek).

Born in the borough of Hackney in the United Kingdom Sam and Cas decided to embark on the challenging but intriguing path in the Nigerian music industry. Commenting on their decision Sam and Cas said, “We decided to embark on our own musical journey because of our particular interest in music and allows us the ability to creatively express ourselves in a new way.
