SDC Stray From Their Normal Music on New EP, Palmwine Music Vol. 1

Show Dem Camp have established themselves as one of Nigeria’s most consistent rap duos over the past few years. On their new EP, Palmwine Music Volume 1, the duo try their hand at creating more commercially appealing music.

With their new EP, SDC flashback to the kind of music they created earlier in their careers on Feel Alright and do it all again. They feature acts like Boj, Tomi Thomas, Ajebutter 22, Poe, Odunsi and Funbi and their influences are felt on most of the hooks ahead of quality verses from Tec and Ghost.

When speaking on the vibe they attempted to create with the EP, the pair said:

“We first discovered the palm wine vibes with Feel Alright. That set the precedent, and opened us up to a new sound. The project represents escaping the stress of Lagos life, it’s oneness with nature, chilling with friends, a beautiful woman and ultimately just a happy place.”

Spax, who entirely produces the project and Boj shine and ultimately give the palm wine vibe the project intends on presenting with slowed down beats and unruffled vocals. Over the seven tracks, SDC and their featured acts touch on everything from being held in high regard to relationships and trust in what culminates into a quality chill project.
