SGaWD Showcases Versatility On New EP “Tha GaWD – Side A”

Nigerian rapper, SGaWD has quickly become a leading figure in a new wave of independent African artists. Mixing rap, house, Afropop, and electronic music, she’s created a style that’s all her own. Fans lovingly call her Big Seddy, and her unique approach has already produced hit songs like POPSHIT and Telfar, catching the attention of music lovers worldwide.

Following her debut project, Savage Bitch Juice, Miami-based SGaWD, has released a new EP called Tha GaWD – Side A. This EP explores different sounds, blending rap, house, electronica, and afropop in a captivating way. It shows SGaWD’s talent as both a rapper and singer, moving between genres effortlessly.

The 7-track EP reflects SGaWD’s growth as an artist and  woman in the music industry. It starts with Money Prayer, a song about resilience and faith, followed by Dump All Your Worries On The Dance Floor, encouraging listeners to find joy despite life’s challenges. SGaWD’s bold lyrics about empowerment shine through on BoyToy, and she collaborates with Ghanaian sensation Moliy on the sultry Juicebox. On Cool, she explores love with dreamy house beats, while Talking Too Much reflects on the downside of empty promises while Fav Gurl offers a unique R&B sound, paying homage to alté and mara music offering an experience that showcases SGaWD’s growth and fearless exploration of new sounds.
