Show Dem Camp Pilot Sweet Voyage On ‘The Palwine Express’

Posted on

Ghost and Tek, of famed group Show Dem Camp, have become creatures of habit, a trait that is now evident in their attitude to music sharing, project pacing and, of course, the projects themselves. Earlier this year, they went political with the fourth volume of their Clone Wars series titled These Buhari Times, a move not uncommon to their diverse brand and as the year ends, they stick to the status quo with yet another sturdy 12-track installation of their Palmwine series titled The Palmwine Express.

With sound direction from frequent collaborator, Spax, assists from some of the industry’s finest including Tems, Wani, Nonso Amadi, BOJ and Burna Boy, all of whom wear their characters perfectly, Ghost and Tek continue to ride their wave of intricate storytelling, beguiling narratives, intoxicating sound planes, mind-blowing references and of course, their signature bold and brash flow. The Palmwine Express also sees features from Amaarae, Tomi Thomas, Moelogo, Fasina, Nsikak, Funbi and Buju, an eclectic selection of the perfect fits for the realistic display of swirling narratives.

The year started with a brash rendition of our most pressing issues on These Buhari Times and as we say goodbye to an eventful year, Show Dem Camp steer us out with just the right amount of short and sweet we need.
