Fresh off the launch of Mr Eazi’s art inclined youth empowerment initiative; emPawa Africa, Musicians have begun to operate within the confines and framework of the initiative; one which is aimed at shedding light on the Underdogs in various music industries spanning our continent. Artistes like Lady Donli have gotten their fair share of Mr Eazi’s benevolence, however for rising Stars like Efe Oraka whose recently released single: Nigerian Dream did more than reveal the strength of her amazing vocals, pandering to his altruism in times like this is key and although Efe kick started her career by way of covers, going back to the drawing board to garner attention is not a bad way to bridge her fast rising career.
Last week she teamed up with Sigag Lauren; popular for his Smile For Me remix to offer an EDM influenced remix to Mr Eazi’s Pour Me Water and its everything and more we expected it to be when she started promoting it days ago. On the synthesized Piano driven remix, Efe ad-libs Eazi’s famous lines “pour me water, holy water, quench this fire” with her signature intoxicating vocals, after which she delivers a mesmeric hook drenched in Sigag’s hypnotic Pop infused soundscape.
Everything about this collaboration screams talent and finesse and we can’t wait to see where it takes the duo.
