South African Dance Diva Makhadzi Drops “Ndiringe”

Posted on

South African dance diva Makhadzi has linked up with Mr Brown for the release of Ndiringe, the second single from Warner Music’s newly launched OUT OF ORDER label from their upcoming compilation OOO: AFRO.

Perfectly executed in Tshivenda, the peppy Ndiringe is a divine offering of energetic drums, soothing synths and Makhadzi’s signature folk-like storytelling. Fresh from her sold-out Makhuvha Stadium concert, Ndiringe is a welcomed addition to the multi-platinum star’s revered musical catalogue and a stunning example of OUT OF ORDER’s capabilities.

Ndiringe follows Makhadzi’s June 2022 hit collaboration with Mr Brown, MaGear and their equally popular hit Murahu from her African Queen album. The latest single also serves as a prequel to the initial teaser track Inkululeko, the Amapiano banger helmed by South African deep house duo Artwork Sounds and a part of the upcoming compilation OOO: AFRO.

OOO: AFRO is set to be unveiled on November 11th, and is an innovative new compilation album curated by the OUT OF ORDER label in partnership with Warner Africa. OOO: AFRO marks the debut in a series of albums to be curated and relelased by OUT OF ORDER, spotlighting a myriad of talent ranging from household names to up-and-comers across the African region.

With Makhadzi widely regarded as the queen of Bolobedu dance music, her accolades know no bounds. Hailed as GQ’s “Entertainer of the Year” and “Favourite African Star” at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Makhadzi has become the most streamed female artist in South Africa. Her 2020 record Kokovha is one of Apple Music’s most streamed albums, earning her a gold plaque. Makhadzi’s 2021 viral African Queen album also claimed the 53rd spot on Spotify’s Top 200 album chart last year.

With Ndiringe marking a significant moment for both Warner’s Emerging Markets team and the African music scene, Makhadzi’s presence brings major superstar vibes and adds major weight to the OOO: AFRO collection.
