Famous for their frequent tandem with Falz and Ajebutter and his work on Naira Marley’s breakout, Issa Goal, Studio Magic comes out of the shadows this month with new acoustics driven single titled Double Dare You powered by a potential new partnership comprising the diverse trio of DMW signees Ichaba, Dremo, and Yonda.
Poised in battle-ready positions, the trio is on a trumpet blowing mission on the single. They utilize Studio Magic’s springy instrumentals as the perfect backdrop over which they layer braggadocious lyrics alluding to the greatness of their record label and how its power makes each of them untouchable.
A perfect fusion of different genres curated by one with an ear for good music, Double Dare You takes its vocal strength from Icahaba who leads the group with a sonorous hook and chorus followed by Dremo who of course raises the bar with methodic bars. Yonda closes the curtains with a Fuji inspired verse that transfers the entire single to a different dimension.
