May was definitely the most eventful month yet in the music scene this year. Aside from the release of Santi’s debut project under the newly acquired stage name, Asa made a return to the scene after a 5-year hiatus. Patoranking revealed another side of himself bordering on Fela’s style of Afrobeat, Jinmi Abduls got signed to The Plug Entertainment and more. Of course the implication of these events was new music and of course, our favourites delivered. From the month of May, here are our favourite sounds. Hopefully, it’s a precursor to a great summer.
