Following the release of his lead single With You, TKinzy makes his official debut on the Nigerian music scene with his first EP Soul Mate. His latest offering is a six-song project that blurs the line between Afropop, highlife, and electronic pop music.
The EP opens with piano keys as the artist sings about caring for his love interest regardless of whatever comes between them on With You. Dumpty Something, the second song, is led by a staid percussive base that leads into an emotive delivery by the singer who is attracted to a woman he can’t get out of his mind.

Omalicha follows the same thematic path over an instrumental that blurs the line between flamenco and electro music. Teni Makanaki comes in as the only featured artist on Sola where she dovetails pleasantly with TKlinzy’s fluid delivery. The remaining two songs; Ma Bebe and Fine Isabella, bring Soul Mate to a dreamy, satisfying close.
