Turkish Airlines fail to provide passenger's luggage twice in 2 weeks at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja.

For the second time in less than a month, Turkish Airlines have failed to provide the baggage of its passengers on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The first occurrence two weeks ago prompted passengers to besiege the airline’s flight at the tarmac with the aim to stop it from taking off, an action that was a breach of safety regulations.

The previous incident led the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika to suspend the airport manager, the head of Aviation Security and another top official at the airport while the airline paid the delayed customers compensation.

Following yesterday’s failure to arrive with passenger’s bags, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma advised the airline’s management to sort out their inadequacies once and for all. The FAAN boss is said to have appealed to passengers to remain calm and law abiding in order to avoid an occurrence like the last.
