The 27th of April was a sad day for Vice President Namadi Sambo and his family as one of the younger brother of the Vice President, Capt. Yusuf Sabo Sambo died early Sunday morning in a ghastly car accident.

The incident occurred on Bill Clinton Drive when his car, a BMW X6 collided with a tree and burst into flames.

Eyewitnesses say it was as a result of over speeding. He was on his way to the airport to embark on a flight.

Capt. Yusuf Sambo is a retired Air Force Pilot who served with the Presidential Air Fleet before moving into private practice.

He is survived by a wife, three daughters, 10 brothers and sisters. He has since been buried according to Islamic rites. May He rest in perfect peace.
