President Goodluck Jonathan has vowed to defeat Boko Haram, the armed group that has killed thousands of people in Nigeria’s northeast.
In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera’s, Yvonne Ndege in Lagos, he denied allegations that his government has mishandled the threat from the group. He also expressed fears about violence during the upcoming presidential election which was postponed because of a lack of security.
He shows his confidence that he will win the elections but also states that should he lose he will bow out because “The country is not his father’s estate.”
