How Oyinkan Dada Combines Being A Gallerist with Corporate Law

Oyinkan Dada grew up as the youngest of ten siblings in a polygamous household — an experience she fondly compares to the iconic comedy series Fuji House of Commotion. As a form of escape, she developed a deep love for reading.

Dada’s background is particularly unique: although economically privileged, she attended a more modest school environment, an experience she credits with expanding her worldview and helping her navigate questions of privilege early on.

Later, while studying at King’s College London, Dada’s passion for politics and history naturally deepened into a growing interest in art — particularly African art and its history. Balancing this artistic passion with her legal studies became a defining subplot of her life, one that continues to shape her path today.

Now a practicing corporate lawyer, Dada is simultaneously carving out a career as a rising art gallerist. In this episode of Overnight Success, she shares the full arc of her career journey and offers thoughtful insights into building a life of independence on her own term.
