Wale, like many of us, is caught in the awkward spot where life choices don’t hold much water in the realization of one’s aspirations and so in the best way he knows how to, easy punchlines and rhythmic articulation of these mind-altering words, he tells of his reality and how this year, he will be numb to the adverse effects of politics and pandemic.
Just like the mental state he yearns for is smooth and easy, so is Wale’s interpretations of his desires comforting and encouraging. He sings, raps but most importantly, communicates and entertains.
