Pharrell Williams has been busy doing press runs for the Oscar-nominated film Hidden Figures. In addition to talking about the film’s lofty ambitions, Pharrell has also taken the time to sit down and speak on his first and primary hustle: music. Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Skateboard P opened up about his working relationship with Skepta, whom he describes as a “deadass serious” artist, their collaboration on “Numbers,” and he even does a playful impression of the grime MC’s signature ad-lib—”ya get me?” As far as new music is concerned, P said he was open to working with more British artists after he and Skepta “do one more” and that the energy surrounding N.E.R.D was “feeling really good and feeling really special.” Child Rebel Soldier fans will know not to hold their breath.
