Where Next: Glenfiddich Mavericks, M.I, Mr Eazi & RMD go on a Cultural and Whisky Expedition to Scotland

Following the launch of the latest edition of its Where Next campaign earlier in the year, renowned single-malt Scottish Whiskeymaker, Glenfiddich, treated its Mavericks and strategic partners to an exquisite voyage to Scotland and a tour of the Glenfiddich Speyside Distillery in Dufftown situated in the north-eastern side of the country,  on the 2nd of August.

Designed to give Mavericks — like Mr Eazi, M.I The Guy, Richard Mofe Damijo, Enyinna Nwigwe, Deremi Ajidahun, Ogwa Iweze, and other important stakeholders the best of Scotland, the tour submerged all in an experience befitting royalty. This included a rare first-hand experience of Glenfiddich’s time-honoured whiskey-making process, as well as a thrilling immersion into Scottish culture. 

The tour kicked off with an exploration of the 137-year-old distillery nestled amongst the picturesque hills of Scotland, where the Mavericks were treated to some of the oldest bottles of Glenfiddich Whiskey including the ultra-rare reserves. The brand also treated the Mavericks to a luxurious whiskey-pairing dining experience where they enjoyed some of the brand’s iconic flavours.

Speaking on the initiative, Eddie Madaki, Prestige Manager, Williams Grants and Sons, denoted, “Whiskey making is a time-honoured craft that requires deftness and attention to a ton of tiny details that make every sip a wonderful experience. With this tour, we hope to deepen the appreciation for the expertise and ingenuity that goes into every bottle of Glenfiddich whiskey.”

In addition to the tour of the Speyside Distillery, the Mavericks had the opportunity of visiting some of the country’s iconic and cultural landmarks and also enjoyed activities reminiscent of Scotland including clay pigeon shooting, archery and dressing up in the traditional garments of the Scots otherwise known as Kilts. 

For Glenfiddich, outperforming oneself, breaking norms and taking risks are at the core of every phenomenal achievement and exciting invention — this forms the pillars of the brand’s ideology, Where Next campaign, and are at the heart of every Maverick.
