On Sunday, popular Nigerian pop star, Ayodeji Balogun, known as WizKid called out President Muhammed Buhari after the latter prayed for the recovery of the President of United States, Donald Trump, who tested positive to COVID-19. Footage of SARS operatives fleeing with a white Lexus SUV after killing its owner outside Wetland Hotels, Ugelli, Delta State trended on the internet sparking controversies and a restraining order by the Inspector General of Police.
The singer also challenged Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who reacted to the menace posed by SARS.
Wizkid’s Tweet earned backlash from President Buhari’s Personal Assistant, Lauretta Onochie, and Blackface, another singer.
