Wizkid has sailed through 2019 with a slew of features and currently has two stellar singles sitting at the top of music charts. As the year draws to an end, he continues to lend his expertise to contemporaries worldwide. This week, he brings his special brew of afrobeats to UK-based group, Krept and Konan, on their latest single, G Love, released as they prepare for their new album.
The trio form an eclectic group on the afropop-grime hybrid which finds them going head to head over a smooth plane of atmospheric keys and dense drums as they articulate their Rastafarian-inflected feelings for the track’s muse. Wizkid in between head-nodding verses delivers a catchy hook and an even more infectious chorus and though the track ends before the listener can really get in, their lyrics pack the punch.
