Barely two years after its founding in Lagos, Nigeria by Intellectual Property Lawyer and Creative Entrepreneur Bukola Fadipe, X Records has risen to become the fastest-growing AI-driven label in the world, with close to 100 artists/creatives on its roster and affiliates across multiple continents.
Leveraging a powerful blend of Agile practices, Google Sprint, and Lean Strategies, Fadipe and the X Team have built X Records into a disruptive ecosystem called “The XVERSE” where creativity meets technology in real time. His decade-long experience in the global entertainment industry has given him rare insight and innovative intuition, now fueling the ability to actively influence and steer global pop culture.
Breakout Success & Artist Development
The label’s first signing, Oxford-based American artist XGirl, debuted with Deadpool & Wolverine last summer—a viral sensation that set the tone for X Records’ unorthodox, culture-shifting approach. Since then, the label has released over 50 artists and creative projects spanning multiple countries, quickly establishing itself as the vanguard of AI-driven creativity in entertainment.

On the Global front, International Creative Powerhouses Karina Igbosi (No. 1 PH Gyal) and Toby Omowole (TopNotch Toby) have been tapped to lead the European & North American Creative Teams respectively.
Bukola Fadipe, while pursuing a Master’s at the Avant-Garde, Northeastern University London, has made the label itself his live project, further anchoring X Records in global innovation hubs.
Defending Creativity: The IP Justice League
Beyond music, the label has also announced the launch of the IP Don-Consiglieres — an international coalition of creatives and legal minds dedicated to defending against the culture of “ruggin” and “inequity” that prevents many from realizing the full potential of their intellectual property. The team is to be led by the trio of Odiase Osamwonyi, Sunkanmi Ibrahim & Bukola Himself.
Staying True to the Mission
From its inception, Bukola Fadipe stated the label’s twin objectives clearly:
“Firstly, to create a platform for creatives to cultivate, Xtract, and Xpress their creative talents in unique ways that promote a global cultural renaissance. Secondly, to drive the development and cultivation of Valuable Intellectual Property (VIP) while also promoting equity in the fast-growing Nigerian/African entertainment industry where inequity thrives currently.”
Speaking further, Fadipe notes:
“The world should expect a grand showcase of unorthodox creativity rooted in humanity’s illustrious culture and history. We will not just make music—we will create Valuable Intellectual Property (VIP) that drives global culture. Always Xpect the UnXpected with X Records!!”
