Upon his breakout in 2009, Yung6ix was viewed as one of the more promising acts around. However, along the line, he has struggled to fulfill that promise- a phenomenon he’s been tackling lately with the occasional release powered by patently commercial features. His latest, What If which features Peruzzi falls right under this category.
The Fresh VDM produced record features both artists in their natural elements, dispensing sugarcoated line after line intended to cajole their muses. What sets What If apart from the average Yung6ix release is the infusion of an array of instruments in the production- something that harks back to the original Afrobeat sound mixed with naturalized Synths and Pads to yield an overall mood inducing but bouncy track.
