Lady Donli Reimagines A Socially Engaged Country With Nollywood-Inspired Corner Video

With Enjoy Your Life, Lady Donli stood side-by-side with the likes of Fireboy DML, scoring one of the biggest breakout bodies of work and best Nigerian projects in 2019 as she embodied the enjoyment ministry and etched her name into the mainstream. Closing the year on a high with her Davido-assisted Cash Remix, Donli has kicked off 2020 with the same momentum, going on tour in the UK and now sharing the socially charged, Nollywood-inspired video for EYL standout, Corner featuring VanJess.

Donli, who as a result of the persona she has embodied over the past year, promoting positivity and success has become a woman of the people of sorts, oft referred to as the President. In the Shaun Kalu directed video, we see Donli empower women to take action by talking the talk and walking the walk as she ends the reign of Capone (played by Folusho Ogunde), who leads a group known as Base Boys and continues to wreak havoc on the university campus the movie is set on.

Awash with placards donning statements like “No To Sex For Grades” and “awareness is victory,” the video reimagines a country with a socially engaged citizenry that empowers women and encourages resistance.

Corner features cameos from the likes of Vanjess, Mako OD, Chuuzus, The Cavemen, Amarachi Audu and more
