With artists like Maleek Berry, you become accustomed to a certain standard of originality and creativity with every project he churns out or is involved with. He has proved time and time again with outstanding videos like Been Calling where he takes us on an emotional roller coaster, and Let Me Know where he just outright serves us with a plot twist, that he is not regular.
I guess when you’ve been this constant maintaining high standards, you have the consent of the public to release videos that are just “meh”. Maleek surely got this memo. It is to this effect that he releases the visuals to Sisi Maria, a track off of his First Daze of Winter EP. The video seems to lack the creative spark we’ve become used to. Rather, it would seem he took a few pages from Wizkid’s Closer and Mr Eazi’s Pour Me Water video. On the bright side, the quality is great (as always), but the content… not so much.
