Odunsi’s Vanilla Freestyle Video is A Nature Lover’s Delight

Odunsi The Engine has made a good habit of making it impossible to predict his next move. His decision to release a video for his Vanilla Freestyle off his debut EP, TOOL which turned one today probably shocked many but that’s one of the best things about Odunsi, his ability to do exactly what he wants when he does.

When we spoke to Odunsi earlier in the year, he asserted his desire to continue to set trends and determine his own path and the choices taken with his two videos thus far show that’s exactly what’s happening. His debut video, Desire did not go the path most do and neither has he with his sophomore visual. Then again, seeing as his music is unconventional, it would be disappointing to see his music go the path of the lion’s share of Nigerian music videos. While the video is aesthetically appealing, a bit is left to be desired seeing as Odunsi simply goes from lying in flowers to dancing around flowers while he sings the song.
