Last year, Phyno‘s shadowy presence in the industry was mistaken for failure and in a rather brash manner, the trailblazer and his aggressive fanbase refuted these theories. Leaving no room for doubt this year, he raises the bar higher with a standard but at the same time evolved performance in his first 2019 single Agu; an igbo word which translates to “tiger” in English.
Personalizing the unarguable features of the powerful animal, Phyno reinforces his solid stance in the industry, expressing his opinions in the usual igbo dialect. As usual, he is in attack mode, stating in the engaging hook that nobody should argue with the Tiger.
Phyno takes no prisoners in Agu and by all indications, he won’t be entertaining any objections to his brand again; a move though impressive comes across as scary.
