It’s been a long time coming but the time is right and the time is near. Ayobamidele Aladekomo known amicably as ADUKE will be releasing her debut album – PEACE AND LIGHT on all streaming platforms.
Although this is her first album, Aduke, who currently is signed under the management of 360 Incubation Factory, is not new to the music scene. Her first single Made in Lagos was released in 2011. Shortly, a compilation of her singles was released four years later. She also is a member of an eight-person band called Soundwagon which she started with two other members in 2009.
Peace and Light is a body of work that offers comfort, hope, and tranquility. It is a breath of fresh air in a constantly-choking environment. According to Aduke, it is a heartfelt expression of truths unearthed in her journey to self-discovery. Her goal is that, while she isn’t a gospel artist, she wants to spread the good news.
We shared her vision during the listening party held last Sunday. Aduke’s performance went beyond giving us early-bird privileges; she created an artistic experience that resonated with every single person present. Every song was laced with deep messages and that coupled with her performance brought them to life.
Much isn’t lost to those who didn’t attend though. The messages, aura and overall experience remain intact. The album is 70% live production
