Ayra Starr’s Rush touches on a variety of themes, particularly money and the need to constantly be on top of her hustle to maintain her status. On Rush, Ayra waxes lyrical on the need to stay away from bad news energy while staying on her grind, similar to the direction of her hit song Bloody Samaritan.
The highly infectious anthem is laden with the Ayra Staars trailblazer’s signature daring lyrics reflecting her razor focus on finding her way in life. The 20-year old continues to find her own path as she heads for international domination.
2022 has watched Ayra debut UK live at the Wireless Festival as a supporting act for Cardi B. The young star also toured the US, supporting Koffee and received recognition from Spotify’s emerging artist’s global RADAR artist.
Rush follows Ayra’s recent collaborations with Skip Marley on Jane and Manny Norté, Stalk Ashley and Tiana Major9 on Worth My While. Earlier in the year summer, she released ASE, a bubbly Afro-soul COLORS single.
The Benin-born songstress has risen to the top of her game since her debut in 2021. Her record, Away, off her self-named EP caught the attention of her fans, receiving positive reviews from critics and peaking at number 4 on the Top 50 charts on Nigeria’s TurnTable.
