Best Wizkid Video of 2017 – Manya ft MUT4Y

When the news broke on October 15th, 2017 that the universally acclaimed King of Afro Pop Wizkid dropped a new single Manya, the nation was in for one of the biggest heartbreaks of the year, as the song was rated – unsatisfactory. People reacted with feverish emotion, with some degrading the release, while others sighed and muttered a vexed “I told you so”. But, in signature Wizkid fashion, Manya (Produced by Killertunes) has grown on us all.

As if to establish, in eternity, the status of this song, Wizkid releases the official video for Manya and it is an exhibition of New Africa. It is a conglomeration of lights, camera and a whole lot of action. It is Wizkid, it is display of culture, it is contemporary, it is worth watching.

The video was shot by ‘Director Q’ at the popular NEW AFRIKAN SHRINE with many special guest appearances from the likes of Shaydee, Masterkraft and MUT4Y of (Legendurybeatz). This also seems to be the first solo project for MUT4Y as a DJ/Producer.

You see, there is a certain ease to which Wizkid brings to live almost all his projects and this ease is not missing in this video. The brilliance of Director Q is really exhibited in the first 20 seconds of this video, and the brilliance of Wizkid takes it from there. Great work.
