In the past year, Buju has stayed on top of his game by way of encompassing features that spread the gospel of his music like wildfire. He’s coming into his own this year so going solo, is the route he takes. On his solo debut of 2021, he employs a jazzy Afrofusion sound as the backdrop for an ode to his laudable discography, titled Outside.
The Blaisebeatz produced Outside is an audacious Afropop affair, performed with passion and pride, and born of Buju’s penchant for braggadocios narratives and a desire to keep his fans in line with a brand he claims he has big plans for. On top of a gyrating fusion of percussions and brass sounds, he proves to us, in a manner in which his vocals are at the fore of his proclamation, why he’s gradually becoming an industry favorite and why he deserves a spot on our radars.
