2016: The Year of Drama: Dammy Krane vs Wizkid

Posted on

2016, despite being only twelve days in has been characterized by beef in Nigeria’s music industry. At the Headies, we saw MI throw shade at Olamide’s work ethic, the day after he reportedly went on to mock Olamide’s “street ti takeover” line. We saw YCee and Vector also take shots at another as well as the biggest story of all, Olamide vs Don Jazzy. A couple of days ago, Davido also indirectly let it out that Deekay has been dropped from HKN. 2016 despite being extremely young, has been extremely interesting. Today, Dammy Krane vs Wizkid.

Dammy Krane through his Twitter account let it be known that he may have had some of his music stolen from Wizkid. He initially spoke about disliking fake people and then went on to speak about losing his brother to thieves in the US last year. He then made the most important claim, stating that Wizkid stole a couple of his stuff but he initially refused to talk and how he came close to messing Wizkid up but held back after he was begged.

The Fuji Master went on to conclude by asserting that he owns the streets boasting that his father’s name is “Surulere” while his mother’s is “Kemi Oshodi.”
