Last year, Davido had the year of his life. It kickstarted with a sold-out date at London’s O2 Arena and found success stateside with Fall which was certified gold in the territory. He went on to release his sophomore album A Good Time which has achieved over 1.2 billion streams to date globally. Building on from that, he gears up to release A Better Time next month.
He leads up to that with Fem his first solo record of 2020. Fem which translates to “be quiet” in Nigerian street slang, opens with a victorious bang of brassy horns that flows throughout the mid-tempo song full of celebratory energy. The song boasts a message of confidence despite the opinion of others – Davido simply tells them to “be quiet.”
