Days and Nites media company has released a documentary capturing Atafo’s Spring-Summer 2024 (SS24) collection showcase, now recognized as Africa’s largest solo fashion show to date.
The three-part documentary provides behind-the-scenes access to the October 24th event, which drew over 800 guests to Lagos’ Eko Convention Center. Known for crafting bridal wear and red-carpet looks for personalities like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Richard Mofe-Damijo, Atafo’s SS24 show marks a significant milestone in African fashion production.
Speaking to the media, Mai Atafo, the brand’s Creative Director, notes “As creatives, it’s insightful to be able to look back at the work that goes into all of this. I’m glad we’re able to collaborate and capture those moments for this show especially, as it’s the biggest production we’ve done to date.”
In capturing the show’s development process, Director Ahmed Amodu-Shaibu’s main focus was “to capture all the hard work, the tension, and the small wins that made the show possible – the not-so-glamorous parts people usually don’t see.”
The documentary series, executive produced by Days and Nites Creative Director Imran Claud-Ennin, is now available on the Days and Nites YouTube channel.
