Deji Abdul drops sultry new reggae-infused Afrobeats joint featuring Simba Tagz. Deji attempts to bring summer to December with this new release which gives a feel of the Caribbean and sits comfortably with the mood around summer.
The first song since his debut EP, Hybrid from Lagos which was produced by Grammy-winning producer Kel P., Padi marks a new milestone in the career of the industry newcomer who’s slowly carving a niche of his own with his unique sound, approach, and delivery. This new release marks the beginning of a new lap in the singer’s career.
Padi, in Lagos street lingo, means ‘friend’. The singer employs the additional vocals of Simba Tagz to add more flavor and color to a song which he pens for his muse. ‘Padi’ is a reassurance to Deji’s muse, a pretty young lady whom he admires, that he’ll be there for her as her one and only friend.
