Ebony Life combines the old and the new for “Castle and Castle”

There’s a subtle content war going on right now in the Nigerian entertainment space. The last couple of months have seen key players like Linda Ikeji, Ebony Life and Ultima Studios make definitive moves in a bid to win the hearts of teeming viewers.

The latest addition to the collection being Ebony Life TV’s Castle and Castle. Billed as Nigeria’s “first African legal drama series” (a very questionable claim which could do with a good ‘ol fact check), we see Nollywood heavyweights Richard Mofe-Damijo and Dakore Egbuson-Akande take on the husband and wife roles of ‘Tega Castle and ‘Remi Castle’ – lawyers who run a successful practice in Lagos. We also see first time actor, Denola Grey joined by the likes of Deyemi Okanlawon, Eku Edewor, Ade Laoye, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Dorcas Shola Fapson, Tomike Alayande, BellaRose Okojie, Anee Icha, Amabda Dara, Diipo Adeusi, Mawuli Gavor and Nedu Nwigwe. The series was Produced by Isioma Osaje and Temidayo Abudu, the series features a star-studded cast and three outstanding directors, Niyi Akinmolayan, Tope Oshin and Kenneth Gyang

Executive Produced by Mo Abudu, she’s on record expressing her pride in what marks a new feather in the hat of her company as it marks an exclusive release for their stremaing platform, EbonyLifeOn.

Interestingly, the casting suggests an approach that seeks to take the best of both worlds of the traditional Nollywood royalty and the best of the new crop.

Find below the trailer and a spot of the Lagos High Court, Igbosere Road foyer hinting at what could be a truly reflectively shot show.
