Having been grinding by way of features such as his joint effort in Sarz produced hit single; Get Up, 1789 Entertainment’s Flash finally gives us the full version of his lull inducing suave vocals in debut single; Balanciego; a metaphorical ode to the muse whose ‘gifts’ and ‘spice’ lays the foundation for this mid tempo movement inspiring record.
With a juxtaposition of indigenous lyrics and street inflections, Balanciego sets the perfect tone for dance heavy scenes but the real draw is how his vocals and loose lyricism fits perfectly with Sarz’s whispery drums, tempered keys and overall mesh of Afropop and jazz elements. Proof that Flash isn’t here to play and the partnership birthed in Get Up should be a lasting one.
