Over the past five years, Eclipse Live Africa has made a name for itself with its annual festival, Gidifest. To its advantage, Eclipse Live never attempted to present its experience during Christmas which is often the go to in Lagos. Five years later, Gidifest is definitely up there as the standard for festivals in Lagos. This year’s festival shall see the jump from Eko Atlantic to Hard Rock Cafe, a venue Eclipse Live has gravitated towards in recent months managing shows like Simi and Maleek Berry’s debut headline shows in Lagos over Christmas.
In contrast to past years, this year’s Gidifest shall feature two stages, a main stage which boasts Wizkid and 2 Face as headliners with supporting performances from Maleek Berry, YCee, Mayorkun, Brymo, SDC, Adekunle Gold and AYE. The Next Gen stage shall feature performances from D-O, Tay, Odunsi, Jazz, Lady Donli, Remy Baggins, D Truce, Maka and LOS.
Tickets are currently on sale here and shall go for N5000 for general admission tickets and N20000 for VIP Tickets.
As has been the case in the past, you can be fairly confident GidiFest will announce additions to the set list as the festival draws closer. Who those additions shall be, we wait and see.
