Goldlink before and after his hit single Dance On Me’s reign are two parallels that will never meet. The former steeped in an unconventional style of delivery and the latter has embraced more mainstream elements. With his new album, on the horizon, the D.C native goes back to basics with the first single titled Zulu Screams off the upcoming project for which he enlists Maleek Berry and American-German Singer meets Songwriter, Bibi Bourelly.
The aptly titled Zulu Screams is not only a catalyst for the album but perhaps signifies a move towards having an influence on the charts.
On the track which features each artist’s signature touch, the trio dazzle with an explosion of sultry punchlines, fast-paced rhythms and an overall intoxicating ambiance made possible by their natural chemistry.
Speaking of Maleek’s contribution, Goldlink told Zane Lowe in an exclusive Beats 1 interview that he was the perfect person for his part and of course, he smashed it. With Zulu Screams, Goldlink has scored yet another win for himself, Maleek Berry has put himself and his sound on the Map and we can’t wait for a culmination of their hard work.
