When we asked her on the inspiration behind the collection, she said;

The Butcher Boys collection is inspired by South Africa heritage of the Xhosa tribe, and the contemporary artist Jane Alexander. The mood of the collection is inspired by the Amakaweta: a Xhosa’s rite, for boys to reach the manhood,and, trough trials with a traditional blanket called Ngubo.

At the same time it is inspired by the primitive and beastly side represented in ‘’The Butcher Boys’’ by Jane Alexander. The collection is for boys who reached the adult stage, with the awareness of their primitive site, the inspiration and the collection itself can be defined as cerebral but with a contemporary style.
